How should I wash and dry my Ten Thousand gear?Updated 7 months ago

We recommend washing on cold (no fabric softener or bleach) and low tumble dry.

If you are using the product in chlorine, we highly recommend rinsing it right after use to prevent premature fading.

High temperatures can damage decals on clothing. If you prefer, hang dry - but do not iron.

Here are a few tips that have helped our customers care for their gear:

  • Colors and lights should be washed separately.
  • After using the washing machine for bleaching, rinse it prior to the laundry cycle.
  • Hand wash hats.
  • Stains should be treated with a liquid laundry detergent (no bleach or fabric softener), using an up-and-down motion with a soft brush to break them up. Cold water should be used for rinsing. Rinse again with white vinegar. To remove as much stain as possible, repeat the process of treating the stain with liquid detergent, then with white vinegar.
  • Follow the usual wash cycle.
  • Let it air dry until the desired effect is achieved.
